An agent can generate a click-to-chat WhatsApp URL and read or update the configured phone number, call-to-action text, and pre-filled message, globally or for a specific post or term.
Groundhogg abilities, governed through the Bridge
An agent can search and manage contacts, tags, campaigns, and custom fields, read Groundhogg's own database tables and reports, build, activate, and simulate marketing flows (including one ability that really runs a flow against a live contact), and send or schedule broadcast and template emails.

What has to be true first
Needs WordPress 6.9 or later with Groundhogg active. Capability checks are per-ability, mostly Groundhogg's own custom capabilities (view_contacts, edit_contacts, add_contacts, view_funnels, edit_funnels, send_emails, view_broadcasts, schedule_broadcasts, manage_campaigns, manage_tags, view_reports, manage_gh_licenses), plus core WordPress capabilities upload_files, install_plugins, and manage_options for a few.
- A paid Groundhogg add-on can register additional abilities at runtime through the public Abilities::add_ability() hook, so the exact list can grow beyond the 47 built into the free plugin
A note on the count below
47 abilities, not 46: the plugin's registration array (Abilities::register_abilities()) lists 47 ability classes, one more than a prior pass counted. Each id, capability, and readonly/destructive value below is read directly from that ability class's own NAME/CAPABILITY/READONLY/DESTRUCTIVE constants, or from the base class's explicit false/false defaults when a class does not override them.
The 47 Groundhogg abilities

How to switch these on
Four steps from two active plugins to a governed connection.
Install Groundhogg and Agent Abilities for MCP
Both plugins need to be active on the same WordPress site. Groundhogg registers its own abilities; this plugin discovers and governs them.
Open the Other plugins screen
In Agent Abilities for MCP, open the Bridge tab (labeled "Other plugins" in the admin). Abilities from every registered plugin appear there, grouped by the plugin that registered them.
Enable one ability at a time
Every ability from Groundhogg starts off. Turn on only the ones you want an agent to reach, or enable the whole set in one click.
Connect as a least-privilege user
Approve the connection as a WordPress account scoped to what you actually want the agent to do. Each call still re-checks that account’s capability before it runs.
Read more in how bridging works or the full documentation.
Frequently asked questions
Does Groundhogg work with the Bridge?
Yes. It registers 47 abilities with wp_register_ability through a shared base class that always sets an explicit readonly/destructive/idempotent annotation triple (defaulting both to false when a subclass does not override them), so the Bridge can discover and expose all of them, and any add-on can register more the same way via Abilities::add_ability().
What has to be true for Groundhogg's abilities to register?
A paid Groundhogg add-on can register additional abilities at runtime through the public Abilities::add_ability() hook, so the exact list can grow beyond the 47 built into the free plugin.
Does Groundhogg need anything special to work with the Bridge?
Needs WordPress 6.9 or later with Groundhogg active. Capability checks are per-ability, mostly Groundhogg's own custom capabilities (view_contacts, edit_contacts, add_contacts, view_funnels, edit_funnels, send_emails, view_broadcasts, schedule_broadcasts, manage_campaigns, manage_tags, view_reports, manage_gh_licenses), plus core WordPress capabilities upload_files, install_plugins, and manage_options for a few.

PixelYourSite
ConditionalAn agent can audit which tracking pixels (Facebook, GA4, GTM, Bing, Pinterest, Reddit) are configured and healthy, read WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads event mappings, and, when the plugin's read-only toggle is off, create or update custom tracking events and automatic-event triggers.
NotificationX
ConditionalOnce its MCP module is enabled, an agent can list, inspect, create, update, toggle, duplicate and delete FOMO/social-proof notifications, describe a notification type's valid sources and themes, and read form entries, analytics and plugin settings.
Verified from Groundhogg's own free wordpress.org code on 28 September 2026, not from its marketing claims. Not every ability listed here has been run end to end against a live site. Plugin authors change their code, so a name, a capability, or a condition can be different in a later release. This site is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Adrian Tobey or Groundhogg.
