Burst Statistics abilities, governed through the Bridge

An agent can read Burst's analytics dashboard: live visitors, live traffic, a daily summary, page and referrer datatables, onboarding tasks, tracking health, and, with Burst Pro, ecommerce sales and subscription figures, all without writing anything back.

What has to be true first

Burst Statistics must be active and its enable_abilities_api setting turned on, with WordPress 6.9 or newer. Every ability checks the manage_burst_statistics capability, and two of the nine (sales and subscriptions data) only return data when Burst Pro is active.

  • A setting named enable_abilities_api must be turned on in Burst's own settings before any ability registers.

How to switch these on

Four steps from two active plugins to a governed connection.

  1. Install Burst Statistics and Agent Abilities for MCP

Both plugins need to be active on the same WordPress site. Burst Statistics registers its own abilities; this plugin discovers and governs them.

  2. Open the Other plugins screen

In Agent Abilities for MCP, open the Bridge tab (labeled "Other plugins" in the admin). Abilities from every registered plugin appear there, grouped by the plugin that registered them.

  3. Enable one ability at a time

Every ability from Burst Statistics starts off. Turn on only the ones you want an agent to reach, or enable the whole set in one click.

  4. Connect as a least-privilege user

Approve the connection as a WordPress account scoped to what you actually want the agent to do. Each call still re-checks that account’s capability before it runs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Burst Statistics work with the Bridge?

Yes. It registers nine abilities through wp_register_ability, all marked readonly and non destructive, once the site owner turns on its own abilities setting.

What has to be true for Burst Statistics's abilities to register?

A setting named enable_abilities_api must be turned on in Burst's own settings before any ability registers..

Does Burst Statistics need anything special to work with the Bridge?

Burst Statistics must be active and its enable_abilities_api setting turned on, with WordPress 6.9 or newer. Every ability checks the manage_burst_statistics capability, and two of the nine (sales and subscriptions data) only return data when Burst Pro is active.
